So I didn't write this up because it's DrowLove characters, but I had this epic dream a few nights ago. I told Shea about it over AIM so here's that version, edited into a format that doesn't have "XD" every two lines.

Just finished the final D&D game. We all died, met our gods, and then pretty much turned down godhood to return to the world as mortals.

So Lue officially saved the world, got to epic level, met Corellon Larethian and told him he's a jerk for making his soulmate a drow (then found out it wasn't really his fault), and yes. He really wanted to stay but there were some jokes about his parents outliving him and then Drea came up and that was pretty much it.

Corellon told him he was pretty. Lue was fairly creeped out.

We have a semi-planned epilogue where they go with Olio Leigh'Oh to rescue Mydo from hell and I'm going to have to super metagame to get Lue to go, because he is so very ready to retire at this point. XD;;;

Actually, I went to the con photo booth this year, so I have a nice printout and a sheet of stickers. My dad bought one of Matt assassinating him, which was hilarious. I will scan those later!

Well, it happened. My mother has officially said she thinks Obama is the antichrist.

Has anyone got any experience using the Valve "Hammer" editor? We have to do it for a class (WTF) and my fucking, fucking level won't work. I don't know what is going wrong and there is no one here to help me because my professor EATS BURNING BABY ORPHANS.

Here is what is happening:

1. Level works fine, but is unfinished.
2. I add a box/change the colour of a light/something else VERY MINOR.
3. LEVEL WILL NOT EVEN RUN.

There are no error messages or anything. I tell it to run, it acts like it's gonna, and then it tries to run Halflife instead.

KFLJDLKFJOIEWJFKSLDJFSDKJF. I have been working on this ALL STUPID DAY with no progress at all.

I could write an essay about how bad this semester is. It's pretty much us being told to jump through all kinds of crazy hoops and then our professors, who don't know how to jump through those hoops themselves, go skipping off somewhere else, leaving us alone to try and figure it out by ourselves.

For example, last semester it was like, make a face rig! This semester it is like, here's how to make a face rig!

OH MY FUCKING GOD.

So I keep forgetting to actually post on eljay occasionally.

Right now we are madly working on Sakuracon costumes in between doing homework. The "first pass" animations for projects are due on TUESDAY, which is, terribly, the same day that my level for CG class is due. Monday is not going to be a fun day. Actually, Tuesday isn't going to be any fun either, because Physics is due on Wednesday, and then I have to have my Storyboarding assignment done on Thursday, and then spend the rest of the day on ANI because my body animations have to be final by Friday. THIS IS MY LIFE YOU GUYS. THIS IS MY LIFE SUMMARIZED.

Today I completed muslin bandit robes and the beginnings of a sculpey mask, because I don't have the cash to pay Facing Costumes to make me another one. However, to pretty much void that statement, I just spent like $75 on a binder from T-Kingdom: the 1980 I wanted from the beginning. Hopefully it will be less like wearing a vest made of plastic. I want to wear it to the con under the robes because if one more person calls me a "shy girl" or "shy gal" or WHATEVER instead of "shyguy" and thinks they are being witty, I am probably going to punch them.

Anyway, I'm going as a blue bandit, so I'm not a shyguy technically anyway.

I have a lot of stuff I still need to figure out before the con (such as, how the heck do I get a much more fragile mask to stay on? Should I try to fix my pants or just make new ones? Should I use the drow daggers? How do I get the mask smooth enough?) I'm also gonna have black leather instead of brown leather and I'm not sure I'm happy about that, but it can't be helped since I accidentally gave my dad my brown leather belt, and I can't afford another pair of leather boots in a different colour.

And I'm missing NorWesCon this year, because I'm lame and school.

What else?

Um.

Nope, my life is pretty much school + working on costumes today. Woowee. D: Sorry, I'm boring. At least I draw pretty pictures, right?

bump maps do not instantly make everything better. In fact, it often makes your clothing look like the patterns are painted on with puff paint and basically ruins otherwise good designs.
